The term “artificial intelligence” appears to be an oxymoron, and the adjective points to its cobbled-up essence rather than intelligence as a natural function of nature.

Being artificial, is it a compendium of existing ideas, or is it a structure based on assimilating noun identifiers to link some structured language identifiable words and phrases into a dialogue to satisfy specific goals? A recent Republican campaign ad for Trump was AI-generated and seemed awkward, yet specifically pointed to continuing false premises.

In ordering a set of ethics for the use of AI to satisfy specific goals, the ethic should be applied to the definition of--and ultimate use of--the exercise before it is applied.
